Nurse kills 11-year old daugther, self in Tamil Nadu

A nurse allegedly committed suicide after strangulating her 11 year-old daughter at Singanallur in Coimbatore, today.

According to police, the woman, working as a nurse, reportedly poisoned and strangulated her daughter to death by a dupatta.

The woman, whose husband had left her some years ago, later committed suicide by hanging from the ceiling.

Illicit affair with a doctor was said to be the reason behind the extreme step, police said.
