Special CBI Judge OP Saini today expressed his displeasure against the high-profile accused in 2G spectrum scam case for making a hue and cry over his decision to record in advance that they were pleading not guilty and face the trial.

"What was wrong if I recorded your guilt in advance"? was how the judge reacted to the reports questioning him for coming out with a prepared text while ordering the framing of charges.

The judge clarified that he had prepared the text that all the accused were pleading "not guilty and claim trial" as they argued for nearly three months against the framing of charges.

The special judge expressed anguish that despite arguing in length against framing of charges, the defence counsel told the media that he (judge) committed a mistake by writing on his own in the order that accused "plead not guilty and claim trial".

"You (defence counsel) people argued for about three months to plead not guilty and then you all told the media that the judge has committed a mistake," the judge said.

"You all argued so extensively on framing of charges and it means that you were not pleading guilty and would claim trial. If I wrote it in the order then what was wrong in it?" the judge told the lawyers.
