Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar and his deputy SK Modi today condoled the death of five-time Nepal prime minister Girija Prasad Koirala in Kathmandu.
In a separate condolence message, Kumar described Koirala as an architect of establishment of democracy in Nepal.
"Koirala played a major role in bringing the Maoists to the political mainstream," he said.
Modi said people of Nepal would always remebered the contributions Koirala made for that country.
"Koirala also emerged as a strong pillar in strengthening the bond of relations and friendship between India and Nepal," Modi said.
