Newspaper confederation condoles death of KL Kapoor

A top newspaper employees' union today condoled the death of KL Kapoor, president of All India Newspaper Employees' Federation (AINEF), and described him a committed leader.

           
Confederation of Newspaper and News Agency Employees' Organisations in its condolence meeting remembered Kapoor as one of the architects of the present wage board.

           
"We should unitedly fight for the cause of the industry and workers as desired by Kapoor," Confederations' general secretary MS Yadav said.

           
The 85-year-old trade unionist breathed his last on December 14 at his residence in Gulmohar Park here.

           
Indian Journalists' Union president Suresh Akhauri described Kapoor as a "man of circulars through which he guided unions in all important struggles".

           
Nand Kishore Trikha and MD Gangwar of National Union of Journalists (India), Santosh Kumar, Roopchand and Madan Talwar of AINEF and SN Sinha, Confederation's secretary also paid their homage.
