A Nepalese woman has been mauled by a leopard in Katarniyaghat wildlife sanctuary, a forest official said today.
Tarawati, 50, a native of Vardia district in Nepal who works as a daily labourer, was attacked by a stray leopard yesterday in Chitlahawa village near the jungle, DFO RK Singh said, adding that the feline disappeared in the forest after mauling the woman.
The woman has been admitted to a primary health centre where her condition was stated to be stable, Singh added.
