Maoists set fire to three cars, one of them belonging to the brother of a state RJD leader, at a village in Latehar district after sprinkling
petrol on them.
The police today said a group of ultras went to Bariathu village in the district last night, sprinkled petrol on three vehicles parked near the house of a Chowkidar and set them alight.
The extremists also partially damaged the chowkidar’s house, the sources said.
The police said it was investigating which of the six ultra groups operating in the region were involved in the arson.
