Naxalites kill their colleague in Bihar

Munger: A CPI(Maoist) activist was shot dead by his fellow colleagues following a dispute over payment of levy (extortion) money to the organisation in the deep forests of Dudhapaniya jungle in Bihar's Munger district, police said today.

Deputy superintendent of police A Chandra said the naxalite, who was gunned down by his fellow colleagues, has been identified as Rasik Yadav, a resident of Tilwariya village of the district.

Chandra said Yadav, who was killed last night by his Maoist colleagues, for defalcating the levy money collected from private companies engaged in road construction works and the farmers for allowing them to till their lands falling in the areas of naxalite influence.
