Naxalite leader arrested in Bihar

Ajai Ujjwal and his associates were wanted by the Gaya district police for burning the equipment of private parties carrying out road construction work in the district, the police said.

The chief of proscribed Naxal outfit Shastra Pratirodh Manch (SPM) Ajai Ujjwal alias Chandal Ji was today arrested alongwith three of his associates from Sherghati sub-divison of naxal affected Gaya district, police said.

Quoting the Gaya superintendent of police, director general of police Neelmani said in Patna that the SPM activists were engaged in collecting levy from the private companies engaged in road construction work.

Ajai Ujjwal and his associates were wanted by the Gaya district police for burning the equipment of private parties carrying out road construction work in the district, the police said.
