Strongly condemning the killing of 11 CRPF personnel in a Naxal attack in Maharashtra, Congress on Tuesday underlined the need for a national resolve and support of entire political spectrum to fight the menace.

"The fight against Naxalism requires one and all. It needs the cooperation of one and all. It requires national resolve," party spokesperson Manish Tewari told reporters here.

Tewari also said, "We do hope that we will get the support of entire political spectrum."

The remark was significant as the Government's decision to set up a National Counter Terrorism Centre (NCTC) has suffered a setback with both the Opposition and some UPA allies slamming the move, saying it undermined the federal structure.

Eleven CRPF personnel were today killed and several others injured when a bus they were travelling in was blown up in a landmine blast trigerred by Naxalites in Gadchiroli district of Maharashtra.

"We place on record our strong condemnation to the Naxal attack in Gadchiroli in which many CRPF personnels have unfortunately lost their lives," Tewari said.
