Narmada Parmar’s death: Autopsy report submitted

The assistant commissioner of police heading the probe into the death of Narmada Parmar, who died at VS hospital on November 23 last year, has submitted the post-mortem report to the civil surgeon. The report holds the key to the mystery and allegations surrounding the death of Narmada.

A day after Narmada's death, her husband Hasmukh committed suicide by jumping into the Sabarmati river. Before committing suicide, he made serious allegations on the duty doctors of VS Hospital. In the suicide note, he alleged that her wife died after her ventilator was removed due to non-payment of fees.

The issue was then referred to a high-level committee, which later gave a clean chit to the doctors.

However, based on a complaint filed by Hasmukh's father Prahlad Parmar, A Division ACP, PC Joshi, started a probe into the deaths of Narmada and Hasmukh. "I received the PM report of Narmada recently, and now I have sent it to civil surgeon. Since it is a technical matter, only the surgeon can tell what happed to Narmada at the hospital," said Joshi.
