After four months, Governor Dr Kamla and chief minister Narendra Modi will share the dais on Saturday when Vice-President M. Hamid Ansari will attend functions in the state capital. Earlier, Dr Kamla and Modi had come on the dais together during the birth anniversary celebration Dr. S Radhakrishnan on September 5, the Teacher's Day. The last meeting was after political rumblings between the governor and the CM had surfaced over the issue of appointment of Lok Ayukta.

On Saturday, vice-president Ansari will inaugurate the new campus of Gujarat National Law University (GNLU) in Gandhinagar, where the governor and CM will accompany him. In the evening, the vice-president will release two books at 'Darshak
Itihas Nidhi'. Both the governor and CM will also be present in the event.

Sources in the government indicated that the protocol for the vice-president, the governor and the CM will be observed. "Even at the last event of Teacher's Day celebration, the CM and the governor had shared the dais and had met each other with warmth," said the sources.

During the programme on September 5, looking at the body language of both the dignitaries, it was hard to believe that the CM had written a letter to the PM, requesting for the annulment of the Lokayukta appointment made by the governor and also for recalling the governor.

The CM had started his speech by addressing the governor as "Shradheya and Matru Swaroopa".
