NAFED defers onion imports from Pakistan

Agri coperative National Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Federation of India Ltd (NAFED) today said it has deferred onion imports from Pakistan as the domestic prices have started declining.

National Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Federation of India Ltd  (NAFED) today said it has deferred onion imports from Pakistan as the domestic prices have started declining.

"NAFED defers plan to import onion as its prices have begun to stabilising in the domestic market," NAFED chairman Bijender Singh told reporters here in New Delhi.

NAFED is the regulator for onion exports from the country.
