On the occasion of the 142nd birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi today, state BJP held protests against the UPA government, highlighting the issues of black money and 2G scam.

Local BJP MLA Sudarshan Gupta had organised the rally.

Speaking on the occasion, BJP General Secretary in-charge of Madhya Pradesh Anant Kumar said, "People's hard earned money remains stashed in the foreign banks. The amount kept in these banks is so much that, with it, the entire debt of the country can be cleared at one go."

"All the state governments can run their affairs without collecting any tax from the common man for the next 20 years if the black money is brought back here," he added.

The party also took out a 'chunri' (cloth) yatra for about 6km and held 'bhajan-kirtan' in front of the Mahatma's statue.

State BJP President Prabhat Jha was also present on the occasion.
