Madhya Pradesh BJP president Prabhat Jha today submitted a memorandum to the State ST Commission in Bhopal, seeking probe and action against the Leader of Opposition Ajay Singh and his family members for allegedly encroaching on the land belonging to members of Kol tribe near Singh's ancestral house at village Sada, in Churhat tehsil.

The Congress leader, however, denied the allegation, and said if Jha could prove that he owned an inch of a land in Churhat, he would gift his entire property to the state BJP chief.

Ajay also said if Jha could not prove it, he should publicly apologise to him at Churhat.

A delegation led by Jha submitted the memorandum to the Commission chairman, Ramlal Routel. According to Jha, when he visited Sidhi district recently, a few members of Kol tribe told him about the enroachment.

Jha said that he then sent a fact-finding committee comprising state BJP general secretary Nandkumar Singh and Kunwar Singh to the area, and the committee concluded that there was an encroachment.

Ajay said that BJP was resorting such tactics as it was feeling uncomfortable following Congress's attack on the state government on various issues, ahead of next year's assembly polls.
