More than 200 trains affected by Bharat bandh

Over 200 trains were affected across the country today due to the Bharat Bandh called by the opposition parties against fuel price hike. 

Howrah-New Delhi Poorva Express, Howrah-Haridwar Kumbh
Express, Delhi-Rohtak Express, Ferozpur-Hosiarpur Express,
Khemkaran-Amritsar Express were among 225 express and
passenger trains that were affected.

While some trains were cancelled, many were short terminated and regulated due to the bandh.

"Besides cancellation, we have rescheduled and diverted many trains keeping in mind the situation," a senior railway ministry official said.

Eastern Railway, South Central Railway, Northeast Frontier Railway and East Coast Railway were among the worst
affected zones during the bandh.
