More shame: Couple, man shot at in capital

A day after collegian Radhika Tanwar and mother of Aaarushi-Hemraj murder accused Rajesh and Nupur Talwar’s lawyer Rebecca John were done to death and man was attacked northeast Delhi, a couple was shot at in the national capital on Wednesday, with the woman suffering grave injuries.

“The incident took place at around 8 am at the crossing between Noida’s sectors 21 and 25. Neena and Munnabar Hussain were going on a motorcycle when they spotted her ex-husband Laddan.

They had a fight over a property dispute, during which Laddan took out a pistol and fired at the couple. While Neena was hit in the stomach, a bullet grazed past Munanabar’s.

The husband is fine, but the wife’s condition is serious,” senior superintendent of police Surya Nath Singh said.

“Laddan has been arrested and his licensed pistol used in the crime recovered,” he said.

In a similar incident, Israr Ahmed, 40, was shot at near Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital in northeast Delhi on Tuesday night.
