Mahagujarat Janata Party (MJP) president Gordhan Zadafia and other political leaders will sit on a 51-hour-long fast at Pathikashram in Gandhinagar starting Sunday. Some social activists are also expected to join the fast. The MJP has termed the Modi government 'insensitive' and has demanded that its alleged "Rs1 lakh crore corruption" be investigated by the Lok Ayukta.

BJP MLA Kanu Kalsariya and some social activists will also support the fast. Zadafia said corruption involving Rs1 lakh crore including alleged irregularities worth Rs26,672 crore that had been exposed by the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) should be investigated by the Lok Ayukta.

Besides Kanu Kalsariya, Gandhian Chunibhai Vaidya and other activists will be supporting his demand, Zadafia claimed.

"Modi had gone on fast in the name of Sadbhavana Mission. He ought to have been sensitive to the pain of the parents of Dipesh and Abhishek [the kids who died in mysterious circumstances near the Asharam ashram] as they were just seeking justice. He should also have been sensitive to the demand of Haren Pandya's wife, Jagruti. Instead, he spent crores of rupees from the public exchequer on his fast," Zadafia said.
