‘Missing’ girls return after trip goes awry

Four students of class IX of a city-based school, all residents of Ranip, who had gone missing on Sunday morning returned to their homes on the same night. According to the case details, the four girls had gone to attend their tuition classes on Sunday morning but failed to return.

Sabarmati police officials said that the four girls had left for Palanpur on a trip as they could not handle their study pressure. Police officials said the girls had left for Kalupur railway station once their tuition classes were finished.

The girls then took a train to Palanpur to visit the Balaji resort there. However, the girls could not find their way to the resort and returned mid-way.

The girls arrived at Subash Bridge area and called up their worried parents using a telephone booth in the area. Police officials said that the girls had left as they were under immense pressure to perform well in their studies.

The girls had left for the classes on their vehicles on Sunday morning at around 8 pm.
However, when they did not return home their parents rushed to the classes and found that they had left at the usual time. The parents immediately informed the police about the incident.

Sabarmati police officials questioned the girls for some time after which they left with their parents.
