Parents of 14-year-old Shubham Tiwari, who went missing from the Somlalit School, were surprised to see him walk back home on Friday morning. Contrary to what was brewing in his parents’ mind, Tiwari had actually left his home because he was tired of studying.

Shubham told the police that he was tired of studying so he stole Rs700 and fled his home. A source said that he had made plans the night before he left. In fact, on September 28, he had made two calls to the railway station from his father’s cell phone to find out about the timings of various trains. On the following day at around at 8:00 am, he left for the station on his cycle and boarded a train to Somanth.

After staying in Somnath for a brief period, Shubham had wanted to leave for Allahabad in UP which is home town. However, upon enquiry, he found that the train to Allahabad was not available. Shubham then slept outside the Somanath temple. The next morning he took a train to Jabalpur, where he befriended a family. The family that was from Junagadh immediately found out that the boy had fled from his home; they took his parents’ number and later informed his parents about his whereabouts.

Navrangpura police station PI DA Desai said, "The boy is very mischievous. In fact, when we took the statements of his classmates we found that he had been given another bench to sit on. He also tried to impress his friends by showing the photos of a girl, who he claimed was his girlfriend. He had also started stalking a girl in his class.

DNA had earlier reported that Shubham had been receiving abusive messages on his mobile phone for some time. He had informed his parents and the school authorities about the messages. Upon investigation, the police found that the messages were being sent from the SIM card of one Amita.

However, police found that Amita had lost her SIM card a month ago. But she had not registered a complaint regarding the same. The police found that the SIM card was being used by one Yatin Kariya and his friends so that Shubham would stop stalking the girl.
