Minimum age for freedom fighters to avail pension benefit: UP government

Uttar Pradesh government has fixed minimum age for people availing benefit of pension for freedom fighters.
 
"Any person applying for the pension should had been of at least 15 years of age at the time of participating in the freedom struggle," principal secretary home said here yesterday.
 
He said that the applicant would be required to present evidence for age verification.
 
"Till now there was no criteria of age limit under this pension scheme," the principal secretary said.
 
He said that the order had been sent to all the divisional commissioner and district magistrates.
