Mild tremors felt in parts of Uttarakhand

The epicentre of the quake that occurred at around 4.44am was at 29.6 degree North latitude and 79.7 degree East longitude in Pithoragarh district, director Met department said

A mild intensity earthquake measuring 4.5 on the Richter Scale shook Almora, Pithoragarh and adjoining areas of Uttarakhand in the wee hours today driving panic-stricken residents out of their houses.

However, no loss of life or property was reported from anywhere, official sources said.

The epicentre of the quake that occurred at around 4.44am was at 29.6 degree North latitude and 79.7 degree East longitude in Pithoragarh district, director Met department said here.
