Members of Tibetan parliament-in-exile sworn in

After the implementation of the new Tibetan constitution, newly elected members of the 15th Tibetan parliament-in-exile were sworn in today.

Interim speaker Pema Jungney administered the oath to 42 MPs at a ceremony. The total strength of the House is 44.

Election commission of central tibetan administration will hold polls for election of the two remaining MPs from U-Tsang province (Central Tibet).

Prior to the swearing-in ceremony of the MPs, the interim speaker took oath from the chief judicial commissioner of the central tibetan administration.
