‘Mediation will help solve issue of pending cases’

The sixth batch of IIMA's PGPX - 2011-12, the one-year postgraduate programme in management for executives, was welcomed on Monday by dean of IIMA Prof BH Jajoo. This batch of PGPX will have 102 students from various corporate backgrounds.

The students have been selected after an elaborate selection process. Ever since IIMA started this programme six years back, the number of students enrolling for the PGPX course has been on a steady rise. While in 2006, when the course was inaugurated, there were about 60 students, the number rose to 86 in 2010 and to 102 this year. There are also around 5-6 international students in the current batch.

The batch has an impressive profile with an average GMAT score of 714, an average age of 34 years, an average total work experience of 10 years, and an average international work experience of around 4.5 years. Students belong to various industries, namely financial services, telecom and  IT among others.
