Mayawati congratulates medal winners from UP at the C'Wealth Games

Chief minister Mayawati has extended her felicitations and good wishes to the players from Uttar Pradesh who have done the state proud by winning medals at the Commonwealth Games.

"I extend my heartiest wishes to the players from UP who have won medals in the Commonwealth Games and have brought laurels for the state," Mayawati said in a statement here.

The state government is committed to encourage sports and provide all possible facilities to players, she said.

As many as eight players belonging to UP have won medals in different events at the mega sporting event in Delhi.
