Married woman found hanging

A woman, mother of three children, was found hanging from the ceiling fan of her room at her parents' house at Rajgangpur in Sundargarh disrict, police said today.

Police suspected it a case of suicide as Amita Mhananda's father Samaru Tanti alleged that she used to stay with them following torture by her husband.

Amita's father further alleged that her husband, a doctor by profession, had illicit relations with another woman.

The doctor had been absconding after the suspected suicide yesterday, police said.
