Man shot at for donating land to set up police picket in Jharkhand

A person was shot and injured today by the Maoists for donating land to the police to set up a picket at Chatti village in Lohardaga district, the police said.

Chedi Singh was on the hit list of the Maoists ever since he gave his land to the police for setting up a picket, for which construction has been completed, the sources said.

The condition of Singh was stated to be critical and he was referred to the Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences, the sources said.
