Man murders son, commits suicide in Uttar Pradesh

A man allegedly murdered his son by giving him poison and later committed suicide over a family dispute, police said.

Gotem Kumar, 27, allegedly gave poison to his 4-year-old son Gulzari yesterday at Jasoi Nagla village in the district before consuming it himself, they said.

While Kumar died on the spot, his son was rushed to a district hospital where his condition is serious, they said.

Further investigations in the case are underway.
