Man attempts suicide in court premises in Gujarat

A relative of an accused today allegedly attempted suicide in the court premises here by consuming poisonous substance, police said.

The incident took place when Mittal Parmar drank some poisonous liquid in a bid to end his life when his father was brought to the court for a hearing, they said.

Parmar, accompanied by his mother was rushed to a nearby hospital from where he was shifted to Ahmedabad civil hospital for further treatment, police said.

Further investigations were on.
