The state government has urged the Centre to ensure an impartial report on the Navi Mumbai airport to enable the project to get a go-ahead without further delay.

Highly-placed sources in the ministry of urban development told DNA, “We expect the committee constituted to look into the ecological aspects and not get influenced by the position taken by the environment ministry. We want a fair report with suggestions without buckling under anybody’s pressure.”
