The Madras high court today granted a six week interim injunction to a lawyer and his wife, restraining them from alienating the property of actor Rajnikanth's former manager M V Krishna Rao.
Justice S Rajeswaran passed the order, on a suit by Rao, restraining the lawyer and his wife from alienating the suit schedule property or in any manner encumbering the same.
Rao, who owns one ground land and a building at Kodambakkam, in his petition, said lawyer K Shivakumar and his wife, who occupied the first floor, had wrongly advised him on legal issues and had him execute a false sale deed, stating that unless such a deed is generated, the property cannot be effectively marketed. They later got it transferred in their names without giving him any money, he said.
Rao has forwarded similar affidavits to authorities concerned through his lawyer to take action against the couple for defrauding him and swindling his property.
