Madhya Pradesh Congress committee today staged a sit-in and demanded filing a criminal complaint against former RSS head KS Sudarshan for his derogatory remarks against party president Sonia Gandhi.

Addressing the dharna at the same place where Sudarshan levelled serious allegations against Gandhi, the state Congress president Suresh Pachouri said that Sudarshan has crossed all limits of decency in politics.

"Sonia Gandhi is not only the leader of Indian people, but of the entire world. She sacrificed everything for the sake of the country," he said.

Pachouri said that people of the country will never tolerate those who have disrespected the most revered leader in the country.

He also alleged that the Sangh and the BJP were hellbent on breaking the country by spreading hatred, adding Sudarshan's remarks were aimed for this purpose only.

Pachouri later submitted a memorandum addressed to the state governor, Rameshwar Thakur demanding registration of a criminal case against Sudarshan.

The Congressmen led by Pachouri later also courted arrest in protest.
