Lover stabs woman to death, consumes poison in Muzaffarnagar

A 25-year-old married woman was allegedly stabbed to death by her lover who later tried to commit suicide by consuming poison at Bhuapur village in the district, police said today.

Kanwarlal, 27, of Bhuapur village under Kakroli police station was allegedly involved in an illicit relationship with the deceased, Mundri Devi, SP (City) Rajiv Malhotra told reporters.

Kanwarlal was arrested and later rushed to hospital in a critical condition, he said.
