Pilloring LK Advani for proposing to take out rathyatra against corruption, CPI(M) Sunday said neither he nor BJP had the moral right to speak on corruption as its governments in Uttarakhand and Karnataka were mired in the scourge and had to sack its chief ministers.

"The former Uttarkhand Chief Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal 'Nishank' and Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa had to be sacked on identical charges," CPI(M) Bihar unit general secretary Vijaykant Thakur told reporters.

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has no moral authority to flag off Advani's rath yatra from Sitabdiara on October 11 as the NDA government in Bihar is embroiled in corruption like AC/DC bills and BIADA land scams, he said.

Kumar, he said, should review his decision to flag off Advani's rath yatra, which would pass through several sensitive areas in Bihar, to keep intact his secular credential as BJP is planning to arouse communal passions through it for electoral benefits in the next parliamentary polls.

Besides, Advani's rath yatra was 'ill timed' as Bihar is facing flood situation.

Thakur said CPI(M) would hold a dharna here on the day of the rathyatra to oppose it and launch a month-long agitation in support of issues like relief to flood-affected people, compensation to the flood and drought-hit, supply of fertilizers to farmers, rollback of surchage on electricity, measures to prevent corruption in MNREGA and IAY, inclusion of the entire population under food security through PDS and CBI probe in corruption in Koshi rehabilitation, besides repair of dams.
