LIC official arrested for accepting bribe in Orissa

An assistant branch manager in Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) of India here was arrested by CBI for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs1,000 from an agent.

CBI sources said today assistant branch manager SS Prusti had demanded the bribe to release the agent's commission amount of Rs10,000 which was withheld by the official.

On the complaint of the agent, CBI sleuths laid a trap yesterday and caught Prusti while accepting the bribe at his office. The bribe money was seized.
