Ahmedabad: Former municipal commissioner of Ahmedabad and now head of global urban program of the World Bank Institute (WBI) Keshav Varma met the Ahmedabad Municipal
Corporation (AMC) bosses on Saturday. If the grapevine is to be believed, the WBI has proposed a founding course with corporators and civic body officials.

The move comes at a time when the WBI is checking the possibility of making Gujarat as a Centre of Excellence to train manpower in urban management. Varma, who also delivered a lecture on "Challenge and Leadership in City Management: A Global

Perspective" at Ahmedabad Management Association on Saturday, also mentioned about a proposal involving three month founding course for corporators and officials.
