RJD supremo Lalu Prasad today supported the demand for banning the RSS, VHP and Bajrang Dal to contain "saffron terrorism."

"I lend my full support to the demand for imposing ban on RSS, VHP and Bajrang Dal apparently to contain the saffron terrorism in India," Prasad told reporters.

Condemning the recent attack on the office of a TV channel in New Delhi allegedly by RSS activists, he said, "The activism of the saffron terrorism must be countered with full vigour and strength."

Prasad further demanded that the Congress-led UPA and home minister P Chidambaram must order a thorough probe into lodging of several "innocent Muslim youths" in various jails in the country on "false cases of terrorism."

He accused the Congress of striking a deal with the BJP "as was evident from the CBI handling the Shoharabuddin encounter case and the nuclear liability bill."
