Lakhimpur: Fresh plea for CBI probe

A fresh application for a CBI probe was on Thursday submitted to the authorities by the parents of a 14-year-old girl, who was allegedly raped and murdered inside a police station here.

The parents of the victim, whose body was found hanging inside the police station premises in Nighasan town, submitted the application addressed to chief minister Mayawati.

The application was handed over to sub-divisional magistrate of Nighasan Rajit Ram Prajapati and SDM of Pallia CP Tiwari, officials said, adding it has been forwarded to the government through the district magistrate.
