Karunanidhi condemns attack on Prashant Bhushan

DMK president M Karunanidhi Saturday condemned the recent attack on noted advocate and Team Anna member Prashant Bhushan allegedly by Ram Sena activists.

"I strongly condemn the attack on Bhushan, a senior advocate and a good friend of mine. With freedom of expression (guaranteed) in India, such an attack on him is highly condemnable," he said in a statement here.

The government should ensure such attacks did not recur, Karunanidhi said.

Bhushan was attacked when three persons barged into his chamber opposite Supreme Court and attacked him in response to his recent comments on referendum for that state.
