Kailash Vijaywargiya favours Uma Bharti's return to BJP

Madhya Pradesh industries minister Kailash Vijaywargiya today joined the group of BJP leaders favouring Uma Bharti's return to the party, saying that her re-entry will strengthen it.

"Uma was a big leader of the BJP. If she returns, her re-entry for sure will strengthen the party," Vijaywargiya told reporters on the sidelines of a function here.

BJP leader and Indore MP, Sumitra Mahajan had recently called on party's senior leader LK Advani in Delhi and told him that she was not at "all averse" to Uma's return to the party.

"Uma is familiar face in the party and she is not an outsider. She can be put to effective use by the party," the MP told PTI today, and admitted meeting Advani recently.

Before these two senior BJP leaders, BJP leader Jaibhan Singh Pawiya had publicly supported Uma's return to the party.

Many BJP leaders are of the view that Uma's return will help party gain lost ground in Uttar Pradesh.

After the return of Jaswant Singh to BJP last month, speculations are rife that Uma too is going to be re-inducted in the saffron party.
