Kadi rape: Police collect clothes, other clues to case

The Kadi police are busy gathering bed sheets, beds, pillows, clothes and even the undergarments of the rape victim and the accused in the shocking gang-rape case. The victim had revealed some appaling information to the police while recording her statement at midnight on Wednesday.

She told the police that she was last raped a month ago by all the three men at a deserted spot. However, no police source revealed the place where she was raped. "We have identified the place and have started collecting corroborative evidence regarding the complaint," a police source requesting anonymity told DNA.  

The victim in her statement had stated that she had been tortured, raped and harassed by all the three accused for the last nine months at different places in Kadi and Kalyanpura areas of Mehsana district. "The exploitation started after she got a job on Mukesh's reference," the source said.

The police have started to identify, scrutinise and if needed, seal the places where she was allegedly raped. The victim said in her statement that she was continuously exploited by Mukesh Patel and his two friends.
