Sasikala's brother Suntharavathanam and his wife Santhanalakshmi, Sasikala's sister-in-law Vyjayanthimala, and one V Krishnamurthy were expelled from the primary membership of the AIADMK, she said in a statement here asking partymen not to have any links with them.

SP Velumani, removed as Revenue Minister today, was also stripped of the post of Coimbatore Suburban District Secretary and replaced by S Damodaran.

Sasikala, her husband M Natarajan and many of their relatives were removed from the party's primary membership by Jayalalithaa last month in a surprise action amid reports that they interfered in the state and party administration.

Jayalalithaa also appointed N R Sivapathy, who staged a come back into the state cabinet in the reshuffle today, as AIADMK's Tiruchirappalli Suburban District Secretary, relieving the incumbent K K Balasubramanian from the post.

Similarly, party MLA Dr C Vijaybaskar has been made the Pudukottai District Secretary in place of V C Ramaiah. Consequently, Vijaybaskar had been relieved of the post of Secretary of the AIADMK medical wing, Jayalalithaa said.
