Japanese team inspects projects on Yamuna cleaning

A team of experts from Japan today inspected various projects being implemented by the city government to clean up the Yamuna river.
   
The team from the Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA) also held discussions with top Delhi Jal Board officials including its vice chairman Ramakant Goswami and CEO Ramesh Negi.
   
DJB is the implementing agency of the projects being taken up under the Yamuna Action Plan II.
   
The projects under YAP II involves installation of new sewers and setting up of sewage treatment plants.
   
Expressing satisfaction over progress of work, assistant director of JICA Tamuna Momoko hoped that YAP II will significantly improved the state of river Yamuna.
   
Additional CEO of DJB Santosh Vaidyagave also gave a presentation to the visiting JICA team.
