The Jan Lokpal Bill of Team Anna was "useless" and would not be able to put brakes on corruption, which has spread in the country like cancer, Lok Janshakti Party leader Ramvilas Paswan today said. "Corruption has spread in the country like cancer and the proposed Jan Lokpal Bill of Anna Hazare is totally bakwas (useless) and would not be able to control corruption," he told reporters here.
Referring to the recent controversy involving Team Anna member Kiran Bedi, Paswan said it is "shameful". Bedi is facing allegations that she was overcharging companies and institutions, who invited her to their functions, by inflating her travel expenses while availing discounts using her gallantry medal.
"Team Anna members have lost control over themselves because of the massive support, and so they were issuing irresponsible statements and misguiding the countrymen," Paswan said. The LJP chief that in the upcoming Assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh his party would contest all the 403 seats.
