Jammu and Kashmir minister for restrictions on smoking in public places

Jammu and Kashmir minister for industries and commerce SS Slathia today directed officials concerned to impose restrictions on smoking in public places.
   
Restrictions should be imposed on smoking in public places as it is an offence and punishable act, he said speaking at an awareness programme on cancer organized by Zonal Education Office (ZEO) office at Ramgarh in Samba district.
   
The sale of cigarettes and tobacco products within 100 yards of educational institutions should be strictly prohibited, he said.
