Jammu and Kashmir government has approved Rs 62.88 crore annual plan for 2009-10 for Udhampur district.

Chief minister Omar Abdullah, at the District Development Board (DDB) meeting held here last evening, called upon the officers to achieve the optimum results on the ground in a stipulated time frame.
    
He said that in order to speed up the development works in the towns and upgrade the civic amenities, he would call separate meetings of the Presidents of Municipal Councils and committees at Jammu and Srinagar to work out a comprehensive
plan.

To monitor the physical and financial achievements by the districts, the respective Chairmen of District Development Boards would take a review at district level during the month of November this year, he said adding that he himself would conduct the review meeting in January next year.

In addition to Plan outlay for the district, special allocations to the tune of Rs 4.50 crore for completion of 5 bridges and repair of four bridges, Rs 1.30 crore for land compensation of six road projects already completed for which award stands issued.
