Innovative minds awarded at National Institute of Design

The fifth edition of the Stainless Innovation Awards (SIA) was organised by the National Institute of Design (NID) in association with JSL Limited on Friday.

The event saw the presence of NC Mathur, advisor with JSL Ltd, and NID director Pradyumna Vyas.

This year, Stainless Innovation Awards was conducted online and around 500 entries were received from across the country and abroad. Apart from trophies and certificates, the winners in each of the three categories were awarded prize money of $2,000 USD, while the runners-up in each category were awarded $1,000 USD each.

While a student of Indian Institute of Crafts and Design at Jaipur bagged the second prize in the category of 'Furniture and Garden', the remaining awards have gone to the students of NID in Ahmedabad and Bangalore.
