Indian farmer shot dead in Bangladesh

An Indian farmer was shot dead by a group of suspected insurgents of the banned National Liberation Front of Tripura (NLFT) in Bangladesh territory, adjacent to Asharambari village in West Tripura district, BSF sources said today.
   
When one Dinu Telenga (52), a farmer was grazing cattle at Asharambari yesterday, two persons called him from Sindhukkhal village of Moulavibazar district of Bangladesh and when he crossed the barbed fencing to go to the other side, he was shot dead.
   
The body of the farmer was today handed over to BSF following a flag meeting between BSF and Bangladesh Rifles.
