House in Navrangpura burgled

A cloth vendor's house in Navrangpura was burgled, and cash and valuables worth more than Rs4 lakh were stolen. According to a source in the police, Champak Vora, the victim, had left for a vacation to Rajasthan on October 19 so his house was empty.

Champak had, however, intimated one of his relatives to keep a check on his house in the Gold coin building near Mithakali as guests were likely to pay a visit. When Kamlesh Vora, the relative of Champak, checked on his house on Thursday, he found that the grill of the back door of the house had been broken.

Cash and valuables to the tune of Rs4.85 lakh were also found missing from the locker. Kamlesh immediately informed the police control room. A case was also registered in the Navrangpura police station in this regard. Navrangpura police inspector DA Desai said that the matter is being investigated.
