Himachal Pradesh board exam out, girls outshine boys

A total number of 1,25,155 students appeared in the exam conducted by the board in March this year, out of which 77,838 students passed.

Girls outshined boys in the Himachal Pradesh board exam, the results of which were declared today, with the former grabbing 14 top positions out of 20 in the merit list.

Kritika Sharma of Lokeshya public school, Arki of Solan with an overall aggregate of 96.42% topped the merit list of Himachal Pradesh board exam.

She was followed by Aditya Sharma of Minerva school Ghumarwin and Prateek Thakur of SVM Public school, Anni, who shared the 2nd spot with 674 marks each.

A total number of 1,25,155 students appeared in the exam conducted by the board in March this year, out of which 77,838 students declared passed, while 22,551 students will appear for compartmental exams, Secretary of Himachal Pradesh Education board Parbhat Sharma said, adding, the overall reult was 62.19%.

He also said that 90% of the merit positions have been claimed by the private schools.
