There was no respite from cold conditions in Himachal Pradesh today with the higher reaches reeling under sub zero temperatures and icy winds sweeping through the lower areas.
    
Kaza in Lahaul & Spiti was the coldest recording a minimum of minus 16 degrees Celsius followed by Keylong, the district headquarters, which recorded a minimum of 11.4 degrees Celsius even as the Spiti river began to freeze at many places due to extreme cold.
    
Similarly, Kalpa in Kinnaur district registered a minimum of minus four degrees C while Bhuntar shivered at minus 0.4 degrees C, the Met office sources said, adding, icy winds kept the weather cold in the lower areas.
    
Shimla recorded a maximum of 13 degrees C and a minimum of two degrees C, they said.     

Bhuntar registered day temperature of 18.6 degrees C while it was 17.4 degrees C in Dharamsala and six degrees C at Kalpa, the sources added.
    
The Met office has forecast a dry weather in the state tomorrow.
